This did not start with a plan—it started with a question.
The roots of this ministry trace back to the origin of escape rooms in Prague, but for us the turning point came through a much more personal question: how could people engage more deeply with biblical truth in a way that was active, memorable, and meaningful? What began as curiosity slowly became a burden to explore whether people could interact with truth, not just hear it.
It started in our dining room with simple materials and a willingness to begin.
The first version was built using materials from Amazon. It was simple and far from polished, but it was enough to test the idea. At that stage, the goal was not scale—it was faithfulness. To build what we could with what we had and see if it truly connected.
God used simple feedback to show there was something real here.
Neighbors tested those early experiences, and their response confirmed this wasn’t just meaningful to us. From there, the ministry moved into monthly operation at a conference center, allowing time to refine, observe, and continue asking whether God was opening a door.
The biggest step came after a long season of discernment.
After a year of prayer and careful consideration, the decision was made to leave a six-figure job. This was not about ambition, but stewardship—responding to what seemed clear: God was building something, and our role was to follow.
The trailer became a clear picture of God’s provision.
From acquisition to repairs, transportation, and build-out, needs were met again and again through people and timing we could not have arranged. It became clear this ministry was not something we were creating—it was something God was providing for, step by step.
What looked like disruption became part of the mission.
Through military moves, the ministry expanded into multiple states. A key moment came when a camp fully operated the experience themselves, proving it could extend beyond us and be carried by others.
New directions came through questions and opportunities.
EscapeGO developed over two years from a pastor’s question, growing into a portable format through testing and refinement. Custom experiences followed through requests and opportunities, all continuing the same mission in new ways.
This story is not about personal achievement. It is about step-by-step obedience. God has provided through people, timing, and opportunity again and again. What exists today is not something we built alone—it is something He has built, and we continue to follow where He leads.
